U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not meet with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi during the Moldovan delegation’s visit to America. This information was confirmed by the Moldovan Ambassador to the United States, Vlad Kulminski, in the Rezoomat program on the Realitatea TV channel, cotidianul.md reports. “The only meeting that didn’t take place was with Secretary of State Marco Rubio. In diplomacy, they usually work on an agenda so that the meeting, when it takes place, will bring concrete results. We are currently discussing this issue,” Vlad Kulminski said. He clarified though there was no direct meeting, there were high-level talks with representatives of the American administration. “A meeting was held with the Deputy Secretaries of State. I also met with Christopher Landau, and the Deputy Prime Minister met with him. And this meeting will also take place in the near future,” the ambassador added. Igor Grosu, together with Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi and MP Ion Groza, paid a working visit to the United States of America from December 2 to 10. The program of the visit included meetings with a number of American officials, including senators, representatives of the State Department, as well as the White House.
