The former chairman of the Gagauz People’s Assembly was sentenced on Friday, December 26. A court decision has been issued in the case in which Constantinov was accused of abuse of office and embezzlement, protv.md reports. The judges sentenced him to 12 years in prison. Constantinov was not present at the meeting. The former head of the People’s Assembly was banned from holding certain positions for 5 years and ordered to pay 46 million lei in damages. Since Constantinov was not present at the announcement of the court’s decision, he will be put on the wanted list. The property of the former head of the PAG was seized.
