Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, also spoke about other changes in the personnel policy of the organization he heads. “At the Ministry, we continue to staff the team, because we have some vacant positions. In fact, these are our colleagues who are currently working in diplomatic missions and trade offices. By representing our Ministry in trade offices, they are promoting investment in the Republic of Moldova and exporting products from Moldova. This is a natural rotation that we need to staff,” Osmochescu said, according to logos-press.md. He clarified that the first appointment would take place at the level of the Secretary of State in early January: “And it will be a person from the diaspora who has decided to return to the Republic of Moldova with his family”. The name of the candidate has not yet been disclosed. In addition, Eugeniu Osmochescu announced that tourism will return to the ministry’s structure as a separate division within the department’s vertical. He clarified that the development of tourism is being discussed jointly with the Ministry of Culture, which is currently responsible for the industry. “For example, cultural tourism is currently being developed at the conceptual level, including the restoration of manor houses, as they are in poor condition. To this end, we are developing a conceptual note and an investment project with foreign partners from the European Union,” the Deputy Prime Minister explained. It is worth noting that the Ministry currently employs one Secretary General, one Deputy Secretary General, and three State Secretaries responsible for economic development, digitalization, and business.
