Turkey plans to deploy its fighter jets in Estonia and Romania as part of NATO’s enhanced air policing mission on the Alliance’s eastern flank.
Turkey plans to conduct four months of patrols in Estonia from August to November 2026. After that, Ankara will deploy fighter jets in Romania from December 2026 to March 2027, according to eurointegration.com.ua.
The Ministry of Defense added that these missions are aimed at ensuring the security of allied countries’ airspace in peacetime.
