Thousands of soldiers and dozens of ships are simulating a Russian attack in the Black Sea as part of a NATO exercise. This, according to the European Pravda, is reported by Digi24. The Sea Shield is the largest naval exercise taking place in the Black Sea this year. They involve more than 2,500 soldiers from 12 member countries of the Alliance, who will train together. Among them are soldiers from countries such as Italy, France, Germany and the USA. The exercises have a simple scenario: NATO is training to repel a Russian attack on the Black Sea. During the first week, the Romanian naval forces must resist, they must repel the attack, and in the second week of the exercises, allied forces will arrive here. There are many scenarios and sequences that the military repeats: destroying mines, firing live ammunition into the sea, as well as airborne landings – in practice, helicopters will arrive on board the frigates to deliver additional troops. The Black Sea remains a hotspot where new dangers appear every week, such as sea mines.
