Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu made this statement at the start of the cabinet meeting. Alexandru Munteanu noted that the government would not seek to lift the state of emergency against the backdrop of Trump’s threats to destroy Iranian civilization, reports realitatea.md. According to the Prime Minister, the markets are awaiting developments and may react to them. In his view, a rise in fuel prices cannot be ruled out. The issue of lifting the state of emergency will be discussed in parliament after the Easter holidays. “I must note, unfortunately, that the reality has changed, and not for the better. The situation on foreign markets remains extremely unstable. (...) Lifting it on the eve of the Easter holidays and in an extremely unstable geopolitical context would be an irresponsible decision,” Munteanu stated.
