Moldovan President Maia Sandu has confirmed her country’s readiness to join efforts within the framework of the “coalition of the willing”. She made this statement at a joint press conference with her Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Sunday, 26 April, according to a correspondent for “European Pravda”. Sandu stated that Moldova is “ready to join the coalition of the willing”. “We discussed with the Ukrainian team exactly how this might happen, given our neutrality. However, we have already been helping, particularly with demining,” she said. Sandu also emphasized that Chisinau is ready to work on specific efforts that Moldova could contribute within the framework of the “coalition of the willing”. It should be recalled that, following the meeting on 24 February, more than 30 member states of the “coalition of the willing” confirmed their role in providing multi-layered security guarantees for Ukraine with the support of the US.
