This year, almost a million lei will be spent from the state budget to create a new information system that will monitor Moldova’s international restrictive measures and allow online reporting of attempts to circumvent them. The project, developed by the State Chancellery and the Agency for Electronic Administration, provides for the creation of a single digital platform that will centralize all information on the international restrictive measures imposed by our country, according to logos-press.md. For 2026, the authorities requested 933.5 thousand lei for the development and launch of the system, including the creation of the information system concept, its operation regulations, implementation and functionality, as well as the development of the IT platform itself. The new system will include four main components: a list of international sanctions regimes; a national list of sanctioned individuals, companies, and vessels; a form for requesting sanctions exemptions; and an online form for reporting violations or circumvention of international restrictive measures. The authorities note that the current mechanism is fragmented, and information is scattered across several official platforms. Currently, the list of sanctions is published on the date.gov.md portal and includes almost 5,700 entities, of which approximately 4,000 are individuals. The project is part of the commitments that the Republic of Moldova has made in the process of joining the European Union.
