This was announced by Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. “I would like to highlight the need for the urgent reorganization of the Public Property Agency (PPA). The PPA manages the state’s strategic assets and is responsible for administering property with the utmost transparency, professionalism and accountability. Recently, there have been too many indications and too many legitimate questions regarding certain processes and practices within the agency. And none of us can ignore them. And this is not just about MoldATSA. I therefore believe that the PPA needs a thorough, fundamental reorganization that will strengthen transparency, managerial accountability and the agency’s capacity to manage state property effectively in the interests of citizens,” Prime Minister Munteanu stated at the start of the government meeting, according to deschide.md The Prime Minister also touched upon the activities of the Prime Minister’s Supervisory Body, whose mission is to verify compliance with the law, good faith and the principles of good governance within state institutions. “Based on the results of recent assessments and information, we have concluded that the activities of the Supervisory Body no longer enjoy the necessary trust to fulfil this function. I can confirm that the members of the Supervisory Body have, in fact, tendered their resignations this morning,” said Munteanu.
