Energocom Head Earned over 1.2 Million Lei in a Year

Eugeniu Buzatu, acting chief executive of Energocom, received a salary of 1.2 million lei in 2025. According to his declaration of assets and personal interests, his average monthly income amounted to around 99,600 lei. In addition to his salary, Buzatu received 36,000 lei in daily allowances and 14,200 lei in the form of meal vouchers, reports nordnews.md, citing bani.md. Thus, his total income from his work at Energocom exceeded 1.24 million lei for the year. The declaration also states that the company director has around 220,000 lei in his bank accounts and 3,600 euros in his Revolut account. In addition, Buzatu declared a flat measuring 54.5 square meters and a 2010 Lexus car. He inherited both assets in 2024. It should be noted that Energocom has submitted a request to the National Energy Regulatory Agency to increase the regulated tariff for natural gas for domestic consumers. The company has proposed raising the tariff from 14.41 to 20.93 lei per cubic meter, including VAT. If approved, this would represent a 45.2% increase. According to the declaration, Eugeniu Buzatu has held the position of acting chief executive of Energocom since 13 December 2024. He was appointed by a decision of the company’s board.
