Moldova Drops in Global Military Strength Ranking

The Republic of Moldova has fallen to 136th place out of 145 countries in the Global Firepower 2026 military strength ranking. The ranking takes into account more than 60 different factors and indicators, reports logos-press.md. Over the past year, Moldova dropped two positions, ranking between Panama and Somalia. This came despite an increase in the country’s military spending, which rose from 0.30% of GDP in 2020 to between 0.58% and 0.65% this year The United States ranks first in the ranking, followed by Russia in second place and China in third. India is fourth, South Korea fifth, and France sixth. Turkey ranks ninth, Germany 12th, Ukraine 20th, and Romania 52nd.
