Home / Society / Moldovans Who Have Been Abroad for More Than Three Months Will Not Receive Compensation
Labor and Social Protection Minister Natalia Plugaru said this in an interview with TV8, explaining that applications will be screened automatically through an interagency electronic system.
The specialized program automatically requests and analyzes data from 13 state registers, including the Border Police, banking institutions, the National Social Insurance House (CNAS), the State Tax Service and the Cadaster. If a prolonged absence from the country is detected, the application is rejected regardless of other factors, rupor.md reports.
“If a person has been abroad for more than three months but applies for compensation, we do not provide them with compensation,” Natalia Plugaru emphasized.
At least 620,000 families will receive heating compensation during the upcoming heating season, with payments scheduled from November through March, Labor and Social Protection Minister Natalia Plugaru said. The minimum payment will be 500 lei, according to the minister, while the maximum amount of 1,000 lei could be increased if additional funding is secured. The eligibility criteria will also be tightened: people receiving dividends or interest on deposits will be excluded from the compensation program.
