The DPM’s spokesman Vitalie Gamurari commented on the resolution on Moldova adopted in the European Parliament today, explaining it by the influence of political parties. Democrats say that the government’s lag in implementing the Association Agreement is not due to the reluctance of the current government, but itis caused by some difficulties, tv8.md writes. “We expected this decision. This is the resolution that defines the path through which Moldova moves. There are certain points that show the existing flaws. The resolution adopted by the European Parliament largely depends on political parties, whichare supported by parties of other states, and in this case, we are talking about the Republic of Moldova. I clearly saw the position regarding the suggestionsto the Republic of Moldova. When it comes to segments of the Association Agreement, we must say that there are certain legal obligations, and some of them have not been fulfilled. This is not connected with reluctance, but with some flaws, and the authorities in Chisinau must demonstrate that they are open to cooperation and are coming to the segments that were indicated: ensuring fair and transparent elections and dialogue that will benefit both parties”, said the DPM’s spokesman Vitalie Gamurari. Today the deputies of the European Parliament approved the Resolution on the implementation of the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. The report's authors noted a number of problems existing in Moldova, which led to the suspension of the provision of macrofinancial assistance from the European Union, as well as changes made to the electoral law, cancellation of the results of local elections in Chisinau, lack of transparency in the case of bank fraud, tax reform, etc. Source: Point.md
