We remind that on June 14, the Democratic Party said that invalid government of Pavel Filip resigned. In the afternoon of June 15, the Constitutional court of Moldova overturned all its decisions taken from June 7 to 9 regarding the need to dissolve Parliament and to declare illegal all decisions of Parliament signed after 7 June.
Earlier, the decision of the Democratic Party to give up power in favor of a new government under the leadership of Prime Minister Maia Sandu was welcomed in the U.S. State Department. The U.S. State Department is encouraged that both the new coalition and the former government have committed to a peaceful transfer of power reflecting the will of the people of Moldova, press statement reports. Russian Foreign Ministry also welcomed resolution of political crisis and was looking forward for the constructive cooperation with Russia.
