The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova Pavel Voicu met with the Ambassador of Romania to Moldova Daniel Ionita. The officials discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and within the framework of international organizations, as well as ways to enhance the Moldovan-Romanian dialogue in the military sphere. Pavel Voicu told about his priorities as Minister of Defense, which will focus on the continuation and promotion of sectoral reform, especially in the field of professionalization of the army, equipment and weapons, completion and training, as well as improving the social conditions of the military. The Minister of Defense also mentioned the contribution of the Romanian side to the training of the armed forces of the national army in Romanian institutions, as well as to bilateral and multinational military exercises.
