Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Moldova, Oleg Vasnetsov, and the Minister of Defense of Moldova, Pavel Voicu, agreed on starting a dialogue in the field of defense cooperation between the two countries. The diplomat congratulated the Minister on his appointment to the high post, noting that the Russian Federation is open for cooperation, reports infotag.md Mr. Voicu told Vasnetsov about priorities in his activities, stressing that he would pay particular attention to the professionalization of the army, enhancing participation of the Moldovan troops in peacekeeping operations, and cooperation with international organizations. During the dialogue, the parties touched upon the state of the Moldovan-Russian cooperation in the field of defense, the regional situation, as well as other topics of common interest. Point.md
