Zinaida Greceanîi Met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova

The speaker of the Moldovan parliament, Zinaida Greceanîi met with the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Klaus Neukirch. During the conversation, Greceanii noted that the Working Group on cooperation between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the People’s Assembly of the ATU Gagauzia would be renewed by the end of the summer session of the Parliament, actualitati.md reports. The working group on ensuring, within the framework of the constitutional norms, the functionality of the autonomous territorial unit of Gagauzia and the legislative provisions of the Republic of Moldova regarding the special status of the ATU Gagauzia will also be recreated in accordance with the new legislative body. During the meeting, issues of the activities of the Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights and Interethnic Relations, measures to protect people belonging to national minorities, as well as actions that need to be carried out at the parliamentary level were touched upon.  The Transnistrian problem was considered separately.
