Moldovan President Igor Dodon said that PSRM want to maintain a parliamentary majority and the current government. However, he noted that a new vote of nonconcurrence is being prepared and might be submitted if the socialists and the ACUM bloc will not reach a consensus, unimedia.info reports. “My personal standing and the PSRM standing is that we want to keep this parliamentary majority and the government, because we believe that this is a chance for the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, socialists unalterably do not accept initiatives that are contrary to the Constitution, as well as those agreements that were signed between the PSRM and the ACUM bloc. The socialists and the ACUM bloc signed an agreement which very clearly stipulated the procedure for appointing candidates for different posts. We support the reform of justice, the reform of the prosecutor’s office, but attempts to politically subordinate a person, a party leader, important functions in the state is irreceivable”, said Igor Dodon. “I believe that as the head of state, I should make every efforts to avoid early elections. I will use the status of the president to put them at the negotiating table. Then, maybe we can all meet together and to form the common stand,” added Igor Dodon. According to him, the likelihood that a new vote of nonconcurrence will be passed is very high. Point
