The leaders of the countries reaffirmed their intention to further coordinate Russia and Germany’s efforts in the Normandy Four, including in the preparation for a possible summit in this format. Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel had a telephone conversation on Monday, November 11. The sides discussed the issues related to the settlement in Ukraine and gas transit through Ukraine, TASS reports. Putin and Merkel noted the importance of full and strict compliance with the 2015 Minsk package of agreements and other commitments aimed at promoting the settlement of the intra-Ukrainian conflict.
