Maia Sandu and Andrei Năstase have had no discussions for more than three weeks. The PAS leader announced this on Radio Moldova, admitting there are certain disagreements between the PAS and the PPDT, trm.md reports. “Mr. Năstase and I have not often communicated recently, after the fall of the government, after the loss of Chisinau. He took a break. I haven’t spoken to him for the past two or three weeks. Local elections provoked or reinforced some disagreements; there was a difficult selection process of common candidates. Imagine, there were hundreds of people running for mayors and thousands of candidates for councilors, many were upset. We believe that we would have a better result in some localities if we had nominated our candidates; they, probably, think otherwise. In a way, this is natural, but it is very important that we not allow this resentment to grow into big grievances and provoke misunderstandings,” the PDS leader explained. Recall, earlier Andrei Năstase stated that the ACUM bloc had outlived itself and had been established for parliamentary and then local elections. “This bloc was created for parliamentary elections, and then its activities were applied to local elections. Later, I saw the attitude and statements of our colleagues from the PAS. What would you like? There is nothing to be done about it,” Năstase said.
