President Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing a working group for amending the Constitution proposals. The document was published on the Kremlin website and entered into force upon signature. Putin also approved the composition of this working group. It included 75 people - senators, deputies, scientists, public figures, representatives of business and culture. In particular, the list included senator Andrei Klishas, deputy Pavel Krasheninnikov, president of Rusfond Lev Ambinder, two-time Olympic champion Elena Isinbaeva, artistic director of the Et Cetera theater Alexander Kalyagin, co-founder of Kaspersky Lab Natalya Kasperskaya and others. Putin on January 15 in a message to the Federal Assembly proposed a radical change to the Constitution. In particular, he advocated expanding the powers of the State Council, the State Duma, the Federation Council and local authorities.
