On January 29, the European Parliament approved Britain’s withdrawal agreement from the European Union, Reuters reports. The final vote on Brexit took place on Wednesday at a plenary session in Brussels. 621 deputies voted for Brexit, 49 opposed, 13 abstained. A part of the European deputies came to the historic meeting with scarves depicting symbols of Great Britain and the EU and the inscription “Always united”, Yevropeiskaia Pravda  (European Truth) reports. Britain will leave the EU at midnight on January 31. However, before the end of this year, nothing will change in relations between the country and the union: there will be a transitional period during which the parties will negotiate further cooperation. Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that the EU and Great Britain should remain good partners after Brexit.
