Prime Minister Ion Chicu “Welcomed the Constructive Approach of Andrei Nastase”

Moldovan Prime Minister Ion Chicu welcomed the constructive approach and the pro-Moldovan message of the DA Platform Chairman Andrei Nastase at a meeting with Oliver Varhelyi, European Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy. The prime minister wrote in social media that he “conveyed a similar message to Mr. Oliver Varhelyi during the meeting a few weeks ago,” and now this approach is “supported by politicians (from the opposition),” infotag.md reports. “I am sure that the European partners will appreciate such rational actions. I hope that other opposition politicians will also show respect for citizens and follow the example of Mr. Nastase,” Chicu noted. The day before, Nestase, while in Brussels, met with the European Commissioner, where he noted “the need to promote investments in Moldovan infrastructure, increase access to development funds of the European transport corridors, implement energy projects, expand direct financing programs for local and regional authorities, and reduce tariffs on roaming, as well as financing of small business” as part of cooperation development between the Republic of Moldova and the EU.
