Moldovan President Hopes of Putin and Mishustin Pay a Visit to Chisinau

Moldovan President Igor Dodon said that Russian President Vladimir Putin or Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin may pay an official visit to the republic before mid-summer. “We are waiting for Putin’s visit or Mishustin’s visit. I believe that these visits will take place before June-July,” Dodon said during a direct line on the First Channel in Moldova, ria.ru reports. According to him, during these visits a bilateral agreement on social protection can be signed, which will allow Moldovan citizens working in Russia to count on receiving a pension. Dodon noted that earlier he personally invited Putin to Moldova, Prime Minister Ion Chicu sent a corresponding invitation to Mishustin. Also, according to him, the Moldovan side received confirmation that in May the head of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko, will come to the republic.
