PDS calls on Government to Pay 75% of Base Salary to Employees

The Action and Solidarity Party (PDS) offered that government subsidizes by75% of the base salary for 3 months the technical unemployment caused by the situation with coronavirus spread. Representatives of the political formation believe this measure will allow economic agents who have are no longer in business due to Commission for Emergency Situations decision to avoid bankruptcy and save jobs, trm.md reported. “In this situation, it is necessary to support economic agents with idle workers due to the new type of coronavirus and whose incomes fall due to low demand for their products and services because at the same time, they must partially finance technical unemployment, pay rent, pay off loans and to cover other expenses,” PDS member, ex-Minister of Finance Natalia Gavrilita said. Subsidizing technical unemployment for three months will cost the budget about 2.7 billion lei.
