Chinese authorities sent a delegation to North Korea which included doctors and government officials, Reuters reported on Saturday, April 25, citing anonymous sources. The agency connects this visit with rumors about Kim Jong-un's possible health problems. The delegation led by the senior international department of the Chinese Communist Party’s Central Committee representative went to the DPRK on April 23, Reuters reported. Kim Jong-un’s unexpected disappearance The speculation about Kim Jong-un's health appeared after he unexpectedly missed the traditional birthday events of his grandfather Kim Il Sung on April 15th. Earlier this week, South Korean media reported that Kim went through a surgery on a cardiovascular disease. In turn, CNN reported that in the United States they are studying intelligence data that the life of the North Korean leader is in danger after the operation he allegedly underwent. At the same time, a source from South Korea confirmed to Reuters that Kim Jong-un is alive and most likely, will soon reappear in public. On April 23, U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House briefing said that reporting Kim's serious illness seemed to be false. "We have good relations with North Korea, I have good relations with Kim Jong-un and I hope he is doing well," Trump said.
