PDM head Pavel Filip on TV8 said that after a meeting of the Democratic Party faction on May 4, which lasted about 7 hours, the Democrats “seem to have come to a common opinion". "I can’t say that in the Democratic Party everything is perfect and in the faction too. But after today's very long meeting of the faction, we seem to have come to a common opinion. Contradictions are natural," Filip  said. He noted that in the PDM the situation is natural, since he did not create this party, and it includes different people with different views. Speaking about contradictions inside the PDM, Filip said that “there were contradictions in the Democratic Party when they signed a coalition agreement” with the PSRM. "Another topic was Ruxanda Glavan's leaving the party, although, it seems, this boded nothing. We are also discussing relations with PSRM, it is no secret to anyone that we have different views with them. PDM's passivity is another topic of discussion," Filip said. Commenting on the meeting of the PDM vice-chairman Eugen Nichiforciuc, PDM deputies Dumitru Diacov and Vladimir Andronachi, the former head of the NIB, who is accused of in the case of Turkish teachers expulsion, Vasile Botnari and businessman Alexandru Valcu at the Luna Hotel, Filip noted that he was not invited to it, and this meeting was also discussed at a faction's session. "I do not welcome such meetings," Filip said. Note that earlier, on May 4, PDM vice-chairman Dumitru Diacov told reporters that Pavel Filip knew about the meeting at the Luna Hotel. Recall that on May 1, MP Ruxanda Glavan announced that she is leaving the PDM and will join the Pro Moldova parliamentary group. She explained this by the fact that since 2010, when she joined the party, a lot has changed, and some party members "use power only in their own interests." The vice-chairman of the Democratic Party, Eugen Nichiforciuc, on the same day expressed regret at Glavan's departure and noted that the party must be kept united and strong. Nichiforciuc also wrote that “on Monday, a sustainable democracy in PDM will take a step forward.” Already on May 3, some media published a photograph of Nichiforciuc, PDM deputies Dumitru Diacov and Vladimir Andronachi, the former head of the NIB accused of Turkish teachers expulsion, Vasile Botnari and businessman Alexandru Valcu. They were photographed leaving the Luna Hotel. In social networks and anonymous Telegram channels it was said that the meeting participants discussed reshuffles in the PDM.
