On May 14, a meeting of the Supreme Security Council will be held in Moldova. The theft of a billion case and concession of Chisinau airport are on the agenda of the meeting. This was stated by President Igor Dodon on May 11 after a weekly joint meeting with the Prime Minister and Speaker. “There are many important topics, but two of them are of national importance. This is the theft of a billion and Chisinau Airport. We have made progress on both issues. And I think that is why some deputies, who have recently been trying to make moves in parliament, have been frightened. Because they were pressed against the wall and their time is running out,” Dodon said. He noted that at the meeting, the Supreme Security Council will decide on these two issues. Recall, earlier Dodon noted that some opposition representatives are against the fact that part of the fee that is charged to passengers at the airport goes to the state budget. “Why did they start to buy deputies so massively? Because we have almost returned the airport. Avia Invest (Chisinau Airport concessionaire - NM) accounts were blocked, as the company does not pay the accumulated debts to the state. The next stage is the bankruptcy procedure and that’s all, the airport concession agreement will become invalid. The airport will return to the state. Therefore, you see what movements have begun,” Dodon said on May 8 on the air of the video platform "The President Answers".
