On July 2, MPs from the Platform Dignity and Truth (DA) party talked with representatives of the Pro Moldova party, the Democratic Party and the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS). According to the DA Platform’s Facebook page, during the talks the parties discussed Ion Chicu government’s resignation and new ministers’ appointment.

“The resignation of the current cabinet and the appointment of a European anti-crisis government are the main topics of these consultations,” the party said in a statement.

MPs from the DA Platform also discussed with Pro Moldova, PDM and PAS projects the Chicu government is ready to take responsibility for. We are talking about amendments to the law on the state budget and several other bills regarding the increase in salaries for doctors and social payments.

According to Platform DA, this government decision is erroneous and contradicts the "principle of the supremacy of legislative power in a parliamentary republic."

Earlier, the deputy from the party “Platform of Dignity and Truth”, deputy chairman of the parliament Alexandru Slusari demanded the resignation of Ion Chicu government. He said the DA Platform faction did not attend parliament on July 2 in the protest against the "power usurpation by the Chicu and Dodon government."
