Moldova May Receive $ 1 Million from Japan for Medical Equipment Purchase

Japanese authorities will provide Moldova with a grant of $ 1 million for medical equipment purchase as part of social and economic development program. At the meeting on July 3, the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and European integration approved the start of negotiations between the governments of both countries. As the parliament press service noted, members of the commission discussed what is the Japan grant to be spent for. “Money is to be used for medical services and goods and their maintenance,” the press release said. The contract with the Japanese authorities must be concluded before March 31, 2021. Assistance from Japan will not be subject to customs duties and taxes.
