Igor Dodon said that taking responsibility by the Chicu government is a victory. The head of state said that even if the opposition demands the resignation of the government, this will not prevent him from signing laws so that the money can be paid to citizens in the coming days, noi.md reports. The president believes that the opposition has a choice now: to acknowledge that the Chicu government and the country’s president were right, or continue to block the laws by demanding the cabinet’s resignation. “Even if they demand resignation and put themselves ridiculous, on Monday I will sign these laws so that the money reaches the citizens,” said Dodon. The head of state said that the government will develop additional amendments to the budget, which will allow allocating funds for those affected by floods and droughts. It should be noted that the laws for which the cabinet took responsibility provide for a phased doubling of the salaries for medical staff, material assistance to pensioners in the amount of 700 lei, additional subsidies for farmers and support for entrepreneurs.
