The Party of Socialists (PSRM) believes that the statements made by the veterans of the conflict on the Dniester who participated in the protests on July 16 and 19 “incite interethnic discord”, call for “violent actions and the elimination of Moldova’s statehood”. This is stated in the press release of the formation, published on July 20. “Every call for unification with Romania, for physical violence against those who disagree, every insult to the speakers of any language postpones the process of the Transdniestrian settlement for an indefinite period and creates the basis for new conflicts on the territory of our country,” the PSRM said. The Socialist Party also called on deputies of all parliamentary factions to condemn such manifestations, and the prosecutor’s office and law enforcement agencies to respond to any unlawful actions “provoking destabilization, chaos and civil conflicts in the country.” Recall that on July 19, in Chisinau, near the parliament building, a protest of veterans of the conflict on the Dniester took place, attended also by common citizens. From the rostrum they talked about the war between “Romanians and Russians”, “Dodon’s betrayal”, raised the language issue and were indignant at the violent actions of the police during the rally on July 16th. The protesters adopted a resolution that included only political demands. In particular, they demanded the resignation of the Prime Minister, President and Speaker of Parliament.
