Avia Invest has announced that the Stockholm International Arbitration Court has announced an interim decision on the claim against the Republic of Moldova in the case of the Chisinau international airport concession. “Yesterday, the Stockholm International Arbitration Court announced its interim decision on the claim against the Republic of Moldova on violation of international and national legislation in relations with the concessionaire of the Chisinau International Airport. The arbitration court prohibited the Republic of Moldova to perform actions to terminate the contract until the final decision and prohibited any execution of the notice of termination of the concession sent to the company on July 8, 2020,” the statement by Avia Invest reads, unimedia.info reports. “Avia Invest SRL and its shareholders welcome the decision of the Stockholm International Court of Arbitration and inform the public that they have never sought such a development of events. The company claims that it has always been and remains open to a civilized legal dialogue with the authorities on any issues, but will not allow dialogue from a position of force. We hope that the common sense of the authorities will further contribute to the conflict settlement without the need for further arbitration,” Avia Invest said in a statement.
