Moldova will extend healthcare emergency until September 15. the National Commission for Emergencies in Healthcare will consider this decision on August 26. This announced Prime Minister Ion Chicu at a government meeting.
The prime minister called on citizens to comply with measures to prevent the coronavirus spread. Chicu noted that there are few free beds left in hospitals, and new anti-records in the number of infected are expected in the coming days.
“In the coming weekend I urge complying with the sanitary and epidemiological rules. The number of new coronavirus cases has increased significantly. New anti-records are expected this week. Therefore, I ask you to be careful,” Chicu urged.
At the same time, he noted that due to a shortage of places in hospitals, the authorities had to revise the coronavirus treatment protocol.
Recall that
the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection has decided to change the protocol for coronavirus diagnosis and treatment. The department decided to shorten the quarantine period for those who recovered or are being treated at home. It was also decided to change the list of patients who must take the COVID-19 test and expand the list of those who can be treated at home.
It should be noted that at the end of July, the state of emergency in health care was extended until the end of August.
