On Thursday at a meeting in Brussels, Foreign Minister Oleg Tsulea and European Commissioner for Internal Affairs, Ilva Johansson discussed the visa-free regime functioning in the context of restrictions imposed within pandemic. The head of Moldovan diplomacy told the interlocutor about the Moldovan authorities’ interest in the gradual free movement resuming within the framework of a visa-free regime with the EU not affected by travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19,  infotag.md reported. He reaffirmed the authorities' commitment to comply with the conditions and recommendations of the European Commission, published in early July in the third Report on the mechanism for the visa-free regime suspension. The European Commissioner spoke in favor of a coordinated EU approach to lifting restrictions in the context of pandemic, based on objective criteria and in particular, on the development of the epidemiological situation in third countries.
