Nastase: Why Wouldn't Sandu Do the Way I Did in 2016

Andrei Nastase, the DA Platform candidate for the November 1 presidential election, proposed the PDS leader Maia Sandu to abandon the presidential bid in his favor. Nastase recalled that in the previous, 2016 presidential elections he refused participating in the elections in Sandu’s favor,  tv8.md informed. “It would be very good if in this campaign we supported each other just as in 2016 when we came up with a single candidate; in June 2019, we agreed that Mrs. Sandu would support me but there is still time until October 15 ... Okay, it could be done later but if I did it on October 15 and withdrew my candidacy, thus supporting Sandu, why shouldn't she do the same thing this year? ”Andrei Nastase said in the Cutia Neagra show on TV8. Recall, in mid-October 2016, Andrei Nastase officially abandoned the presidential campaign in Maia Sandu’s favor. Nastase called then Sandu being "an anti-systemic representative of the people."
