"I count on the support of unionists’ leaders in the second round of the presidential election, while the unionists’ and Russian-speaking citizens’ skepticism is based on lies and propaganda " This stated the PDS leader Maia Sandu, stressing that unfreezing relations with Romania is the main priority of Moldova,  tvrmoldova.md reported. The presidential candidate noted that Moldova’s problems are common for the whole society. “Nobody likes being robbed, mocked, when honest citizens who regularly pay taxes are being deceived. People want their rights to be respected, so that their grandchildren and children are close to them. Both Russian-speaking businessmen and Romanian-speaking businessmen want equal rights to do business. That is a normal thing,” Maia Sandu said. The PDS candidate noted that the propaganda made people get on barricades and brought to a division in society. “I am aware that after I win the elections, one of the most important tasks to do is to unite citizens in terms of overcoming differences. Only a united society can overcome the serious challenges it faces,” Sandu said. In this regard, the politician said that she is not against good relations with Russia. “Even the simplest problems with Russia have not been resolved. We must have good relations with the Russian Federation, strictly in the interests of the citizens of Moldova,” Maia Sandu said, stating that the main priority is to unfreeze relations with Romania and restore relations with the European Union.
