The President-elect announced this on her Facebook page after meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. “I had a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, whom I thanked for the congratulations sent by President Zelensky. We discussed the beginning of immediate cooperation aimed at resuming bilateral relations, which have been in stagnation for four years. We stressed the need for cooperation on European integration, strengthening security in the region, including through a peaceful resolution of the Transdniestrian conflict, ensuring energy security, improving infrastructure in the region and facilitating trade, ” Sandu wrote, nokta.md reported. The President also said that during the discussion, they confirmed mutual support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of each state. “We agreed to arrange a visit to Kiev in January,” Sandu wrote. On November 16, Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Maia Sandu on her victory in the presidential election. In a message on his Twitter account, he said that he expects strengthening of relations between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.
