MEP Siegfried Muresan believes that the Moldovan parliament is moving further and further away from European democratic values when making non-democratic and non-transparent decisions. The MEP wrote about this on the social network after the MPs from PSRM and "For Moldova" voted on a number of controversial bills late at night,  tv8.md reported. "I condemn the decision of the parliamentary majority to pass the Law on the State Budget and other important laws in an opaque manner, without observing democratic parliamentary procedures and without taking into account the amendments of the opposition," the European parliamentarian said. According to him, the adopted laws will have a negative impact on the development of Moldova: “These laws are challenged by representatives of civil society, the opposition and international partners. By the way, due to these laws adoption, the Parliament of Moldova has lost the confidence of the European partners and will return it only taking the path of respecting the law, the Constitution and European democratic values,” the politician said. Recall, on December 16, MPs from PSRM and Pentru Moldova voted for the Law on the Budget and Fiscal Policy late at night. The manner these laws were passed drew criticism from the opposition and civil society.
