"The Republic of Moldova is in a political impasse, in which, on the one hand, there is a PSRM-Shor parliamentary majority which wants to keep their seats and corruption schemes, and on the other hand, the overwhelming majority of the population, which asks the thieves to leave. Citizens are always right. And sovereignty is in the hands of the people, not a narrow group of interests.
In the course of these consultations, we received many useful messages and legal, political and diplomatic advice to break the impasse. After all, I am determined to defend the interests of citizens. Justice is non-negotiable. Thieves don't like people. The country needs early elections, responsible deputies, a competent government with a stable support in the legislative branch," the president wrote on her Facebook page.
Sandu said that consultations will continue.
