If PSRM, PDS, PDM and the DA platform come to a compromise on appointing Andrei Nastase as prime minister, the Democratic Party will vote for his candidacy and for the government led by the leader of the DA platform. This stated the chairman of the PDM Pavel Filip on the air of the Punctul pe Azi program, commenting on the upcoming consultations of parliamentary factions with President Maia Sandu. Pavel Filip also confirmed the position of the PDM, which stands for the current government until early elections. The politician claims that recently there have been discussions in the PDM-PDS-Platforms DA-PSRM format, of which only PDS is strictly focused on early elections. Three other factions are willing to try to appoint a government for a limited time. “I believe that today a compromise can be found in the format of these four political parties. And this is very simple: the basic state program of 4 points: we appoint the government, give this government a month to come to parliament with all the bills, vote for them, unblock external funding, the Parliament does not work for 3 months, after that we have 4 months, during which the Parliament is constitutionally dissolved, and then the election campaign,” said Pavel Filip, stressing that in this way Moldova will have a working government with unlimited funding. Considering that PSRM insists on Mariana Durlesteanu’s candidacy for the post of Prime Minister, and Maia Sandu does not want to appoint her, Pavel Filip stated the following: "If a compromise is reached, I realized that the PSRM is ready to vote for another candidate who can become a compromise person." When asked whether the PDM could vote for the government headed by Andrei Nastase, the PDM leader replied that he would not like giving names, but “if a compromise is reached with all political parties, Andrei Nastase becomes a candidate agreed by all, then the PDM will support his candidacy".
