Last year, Moldova lost 800 million lei as the European Union's support due to the failure to fulfill a number of important conditions set by the partners. According to the Ambassador of the European Union in Chisinau, Peter Michalko, part of this amount was supposed to come as a grant, tv8.md reports. "Essential resources simply remained unexpended. Already in 2018, aid had to be reconfigured because democratic standards were not met. Money was lost because no changes were made," Michalko said on the Cutia Neagra show. Peter Michalko also noted that the parliamentary vote on the usurpation of power by the judges of the Constitutional Court was "a serious violation of the Constitution," and the way out of the current political crisis is in the hands of the parties involved.
