Today, was held a meeting of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova under the chairmanship of Igor Dodon. The participants discussed the political situation in the country and outlined plans, aif.md reported. “We decided that the Socialist Party is running in the elections, although they would be more appropriate in the fall, when the risks for citizens would be much lower. In the coming months, Moldova continues facing a serious increase in the number of new COVID-19 infection cases, especially after the emergency cancellation, thus economic and social crisis might worsen due to the lack of an authorized parliament and government, Igor Dodon said on his social network page. He expressed the opinion that in connection with the decree signed yesterday by President Maia Sandu, today the parliament will not be able to consider and adopt some important social projects in the final reading such as: - increase in doctors' salaries by 40%; - payment of arrears for four months on wages of employees of the State Enterprise Railway of Moldova; - cancellation of exams for bachelor's degrees; - subsidizing national public associations of people with disabilities; - compensation for travel packages for veterans and other projects. "We will go to districts, talk with people and fight for social ideas that are actively promoted by the Party of Socialists, for our national values for citizens’ benefit and for the future of the country!" - the chairman of the PSRM added.
