On May 20, the governments of Moldova and Romania signed an agreement to regulate the construction of water pipelines. The document was signed by Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita and Secretary of State of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ghennadie Iurco.  “The agreement provides the necessary legal basis for a Romanian company that will build water pipelines across the Prut River to supply drinking water from the Iasi district in Romania to the Nisporeni, Ungheni, Glodeni and Falesti districts of the Republic of Moldova,” the Romanian Embassy in Moldova said.  The signing ceremony took place in Chisinau.
