Yesterday, President Maia Sandu held a meeting with the chairman of the Christian Democratic Union, Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, Armin Laschet, as part of her visit to Berlin.  According to the press service of the presidential administration, she expressed confidence that “under his leadership, the CDU will continue to support Moldova's European aspirations,” infotag.md reports.  The President also met with Norbert Lammert, Chairman of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, and Gerhard Wahlers, Secretary General of the Foundation.  “We exchanged views on political events in Moldova and the region, talked about my plans to reform the state system of the Republic of Moldova and our European agenda,” Sandu wrote.  In addition, Sandu took part in a discussion with journalists, experts and researchers in the field of international relations about reforms, risks and prospects after early parliamentary elections, as well as security in the region and Moldova's European path.
