The Chisinau Court of Appeal will consider on June 17 the complaint of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists about the use of the image of President Maia Sandu by the PAS party in the election campaign. This is stated on the court’s website.
Initially, Bloc lodged a complaint with the CEC, but the commission found that “considering such an appeal is not within its competence and recommended to go to court,” infotag.md reports.
The bloc of communists and socialists accused PAS of using pictures of Maia Sandu in their election newspapers. They demanded that the CEC should ban the use of such materials.
For its part, the PAS expressed the opinion that the socialists and communists “themselves illegally use the image of the president, telling lies about her from morning till night.”
