The Romanian government is reinforcing agencies responsible for relations with the Republic of Moldova by creating the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova as a structure with a legal entity subordinate to the government. The Department will be coordinated by Prime Minister and will take over the activities of the Department for Relations with the Republic of Moldova, a structure without legal personality established in 2019, mybusiness.md reports with reference to tvrmoldova.md. At the same time, the opening of another Romanian consulate in Chisinau was announced, the decree was signed by President Klaus Iohannis on 18 June. There are three Romanian consulates in the Republic of Moldova. The first was opened in Chisinau, one in Balti, and one in Cahul. At the same time, the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova has consular departments in Chisinau and Ungheni.
