The Number of People Wishing to Be Vaccinated against COVID Has Significantly Reduced

Representatives of the Municipal Vaccination Center say that the number of people wishing to be vaccinated is decreasing compared with previous months, and only 20 people were vaccinated until noon yesterday at the mobile station. At the same time, 92 new cases of coronavirus were registered in the country on June 23, which is much more than in the previous period, tv8.md reports. The journalists spoke with the citizens who came for vaccinations at the mobile vaccination station. People noted that they come to get vaccinated in order to be able to travel abroad. The authorities note that compared to previous months, the flow of people who come for vaccinations has decreased. Director of the COVID Center at Moldexpo Oleg Crudu noted that it is premature to talk about an increase in the number of infected. As for the possible infection with the Delta strain, the specialist noted that he was not aware of such cases in our country. To date, more than 667,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Moldova, of which more than 250,000 people received a second dose of serum.
