Donald Tusk: These Elections Are Defining for the Future of Moldova-EU

Relations President of the European People's Party Donald Tusk sent a message in the context of the early parliamentary elections to be held in Moldova on 11 July. The European politician stressed that these elections are "defining for the future of Moldova's relationship with the European Union", tvrmoldova.md reports. "In my capacity as President of the European People's Party I wholeheartedly supported Maia Sandu in the Presidential election. Thanks to the unprecedented mobilization of citizens, both from the country and from the diaspora, professionalism, integrity and Europeanness prevailed. Now, when the fate of the parliament and the government is decided, I trust Maia Sandu's team. The Action and Solidarity Party has my full support. Together, we will bring the Republic of Moldova closer to the European Union through reforms and investments, by fighting corruption and raising the standard of living of citizens. I urge you, from Năslavcea to Giurgiulesți and from Criva to Palanca, to start the good times together! Step by step," Donald Tusk posted.
