The leaders of the two countries will discuss reforms in Ukraine, economic issues, the settlement of the conflict in Donbass, as well as relations with Russia.
The German government said that Chancellor Angela Merkel, at a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, will discuss a number of issues, including a settlement in Donbass and reforms. This was
reported by the press service of the German government.
It is noted that the negotiations will take place on July 12.
"The topics of the meeting will be bilateral relations, the implementation of the Minsk agreements on the settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, the process of Ukrainian reforms, economic issues and relations with Russia," said Steffen Seibert, a spokesperson for the German government.
According to him, on July 12, Merkel will receive Zelensky at the Federal Chancellery, where they will have a joint dinner at 19:00 (20:00 Kyiv time).
Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that Zelensky-Merkel meeting in Berlin will address the
Normandy format, Nord Stream 2, bilateral trade and investments.
